Clarice Cliff SHAPE 423 SWAN PENHOLDER IN BLUE LUCERNE C.1931

SOLD

Image Zoom (8)

Probably the wackiest and possibly best 'Fancy' i have ever seen! A shape 423 Flying swan pen holder decorated in a complete version of Blue Lucerne. An amazing thing, i have seen a few over the years and strangely nearly all are decorated in Green Autumn and i certainly do not know of any other decorated in such a wonderful pattern. Must have been used for advertising or a trade show in 1931. It measures 6.5" in height and is 5.5" across. GUARANTEED to be free from damage or restoration it is fully signed to the base and carries a handwritten Applique mark.
