A fantastic and ultra rare vase, Cafe as this pattern was dubbed many years ago is just about the most sought after abstract design, it has been thought that this design was taken from some of the sophie taeuber-arp compositions and resembles the floor in a famous strasbourg cafe in the 1920's, this kind of design is really associated with the de stijl movement and is as good as abstact clarice art gets. Repeating image and apart from a couple of very minor scuffs is in exceptional condition and i can GUARANTEE free from any form of damage or restoration, dates to 1931 and has bizarre printed marks to the base.
