A quite stunning and huge 16" tall Meiping shape vase (shape 14) in the Blue colourway of Applique Lucerne. This would most likely have been made for display or exhibition as very few this size ever turn up and i certainly have not seen an Applique one in the last 28 years. A fantastic version of the pattern and one of the best pieces i have ever seen decorated around the body within typical Black and Red Applique banding. The colours are very strong and i can GUARANTEE the vase to be free from damage or restoration. An exceptional and impressive vase that will date to 1930 and is fully signed to the base.
