Clarice Cliff A VERY EARLY ORIGINAL BIZARRE JARDINIERE C.1928

This is a really rare shape and one I have not had before showing a bold original bizarre design. The colours used and the design will date this piece to either very late 1927 or early 1928. It is in the form of a jardiniere with applied ceramic masks either side. There are a few light scratches to the enamels but I can GUARANTEE to be free from damage or restoration. It measures 10" in diameter, is 8" tall and carries 'Newport Pottery' marks to the base.
