A superbly decorated full pattern and rare Applique Avignon Athens shape jug that will date to 1930. Bold colours with strong and typical black and red banding. There is a small underglaze fault on the footrim that looks like an overglazed chip, it occured in manufacture and is under the black footrim paint. GUARANTEED free from damage or restoration it measures 6.5" in height and is fully signed to the base.
