A rare conical coffee pot in the much sought after 'Applique Lugano' design, this being an early example dating to early 1930. The first period of this patterns production featured a yellow bridge to the rear of the pattern and had honeyglaze banding. Strong, bold colours and a full version of the pattern. GUARANTEED no restoration but there is a nick to the inside of the pot rim under the lid and also a nick to the under rim of the lid too. Overall height is 7" and is fully signed to the base including handwritten applique marks. This actual piece is also seen on the front cover of christies clarice cliff sale november 1989.
