This is a fantastic 495 vase decorated in House and Bridge. A rare landscape and this vase being as well painted an example of this sought after pattern as you'll ever see. The colours are bold and strong and shows a full almost exaggerated version of the pattern. The vase does have restoration to the body but after i bought it, stripped it and saw the damage it was a lot less than i thought! This actual vase is shown on the front cover of ''Collecting Clarice Cliff'' by Howard and Pat Watson and released in 1988, one of the very first books on this pottery. The vase measures 7.25" in height and is fully signed to the base.
