A rare, sought after and beautifully decorated May Avenue design Athens shape jug. This will date to 1933 and is a superb version of the pattern that is painted perfectly to the shape. The colours are bold and very strong. Apart from a couple of glaze bubbles bursts under the foot rim i can GUARANTEE no damage or restoration. It measures 17cm in height and is fully signed to the base.
