A rare and very boldly decorated George shape jug in the sought after May Avenue design. This will date to 1933 and is a really strong version of the pattern. It is decorated with 7 spade trees and 6 cottages, as well as the large dominant tree. There is a firing split in the glaze inside where the handle joins the body, but I can GUARANTEE no damage or restoration. It measures 17cm in overall height and is fully signed to the base.
