An extremely rare pair of l'oiseau bookends and in a colourway i have never seen, known from less than 10 examples this is one of the strongest colours i have seen. They each measure 7" in height and are fully signed to the base, unusually they have the words 'clarice cliff' impressed into the sides of the bases, the others i have seen or had usually have l'oiseau impressed. GUARANTEED free from damage or restoration and date to 1930.
