AN extremely rare and sought after Red Carpet 9" meiping vase, this design is known on no more than half a dozen vases and this is one of the best ones. A superbly painted full and repeating version of the pattern set in red and black banding. The vase has had a tiny chip restored invisibly to the base rim, this was about 2mm in size and does not detract from what is a superb and rare abstract vase. Fully signed to the base and will date to 1930.
