A rare and superbly decorated large Sung glaze landscape design Ginger jar that will date to somewhere between 1925 and 1930. The landscape setting is superbly drawn and the colours are fired to perfection.The colours used and decoration quality denote the age and the fact that it is a sung rather than a standard flambe glaze and as is often found on the larger pieces it only carries a Doulton standard mark to the base. The lid is a typical Sung mottled glaze.GUARANTEED to be free from damage or restoration it measures an impressive 12" in height, is 11" wide and 34" around it's fattest part. The colours are true to the images which have not been enhanced in any way.
