An extremely rare and sought after teaset in the Claremont design made for shreve and co of San Francisco and silver overlaid. These sets have long been the holy grail and are very rare indeed. This example is beautifully decorated and will date to around 1905. There has been a restoration to the lid of the sugar otherwise the set is in exceptional condition with no other damage or restoration. The teapot measures 6.25" in height and is 7.25" wide. All pieces fully signed and marked for Shreve and co to the bases.
