William Moorcroft Hazeldene on white ground vase c.1910

£5500.00

A rare and truly beautiful Hazeldene vase decorated on a white ground, perhaps the most sought after of all landscape vases. This example is very unusual for a Macintyre piece with the trees being non standard. The decoration is superb and really could not be better. The vase measures a large 11.8" in height and is 8.2" across the top. GUARANTEED to be free from damage or restoration this truly is a rare and exceptional vase. Will date i'm guessing to around 1910 as it has a Macintyre mark but the trees are a later version than the typical 1902-1905 examples. These trees were actually seen later with Burslem marks so maybe this was a precursor to those. Fully signed to the base and carries a Macintyre stamp. The 4.2" vase next to it is there to show scale.
