William Moorcroft PEACOCK FEATHER TEASET FOR SHREVE & CO C.1905

A very rare and superbly decorated 3 piece teaset in Peacock feather and made for Shreve & Co San Francisco. This will date to around 1905 and is a rare find. The decoration is crisp and the colours very strong. Condition - These things are nigh on impossible to find completely perfect, they are just so obviously at risk to damage. There has been a chip restored to the end of the milk jug spout and another chip restored under the teapot lid on the rim, otherwise the set is in excellent condition and remarkably the handle has survived! The teapot measures 7" in height and all 3 pieces are signed and marked for Shreve & Co to the base.
