A fantastically painted early version of Melon on a covered dish. This will date to 1929 or very early 1930 and would have been part of a bathroom set, ie wash jug and bowl, toothbrush holder etc and is probably a soap dish. The intricate decoration to the lid is like no other piece i have seen and really is a super example. It measures 2.5" in height and is 4.25" wide and the base is the correct banding for this design. GUARANTEED to be free from any form of damage or restoration and carries an early Fantasque mark to the base.
