A magnificent Blue autumn lotus jug, this is an early example dating to 1931 with a much thicker more flowing image which you always find on early examples. The image repeats around the vase and the paintwork is strong and crisp. Autumn has always been one of the most popular landscapes and is always sought after. The vase has a firing flaw that forms a horizontal line inside the vase where the base joins the body, its hard to find, was made in manufacture rather than later and does not detract from what is a stunning example. Height 30cm.
