A massive Burmantofts jardiniere and stand decorated with Bats in a nightime woodland landscape. I only know of 2 of these, this one and a severely damaged example that turned up many years ago in a different colourway. Superb decoration showing several bats below a moon and stars in bold faience colouring. There are a couple of nibbles to the edge of the base rim otherwise believe it or not i can GUARANTEE to be free from damage or restoration. This massive piece measures 36" in height, is 16" wide and 58" around its fattest circumference. A superb example of british art pottery!
