This an exceptional early piece of Applique Avignon decorated by the artistic director John Butler (his handwritten Applique mark). A fantastic example of the pattern applied perfectly to this small size jardiniere that works perfectly on the shape. Rich colours, a full version of the pattern and in superb condition. Apart from a few tiny marks on the interior black band which i had touched in i can GUARANTEE no damage and no restoration. It measures 13cm by 13cm and carries a fantasque mark to the base, lawleys retailers marks plus the handwritten Applique mark which we know to be john butlers hand.
