An incredible vase! This i would argue is the best painted vase in this design to have come onto the market. It is an amazing example of this rare pattern decorated in a full version of the pattern around the body of the vase. Windmill does not turn up on big pieces and it's fascinating to see a full version of the pattern. The vase has had a hairline crack invisibly restored to the rim of about 3", this does not detract from what is one of the very best examples of Clarice Cliff and one that will probably not ever turn up again. The vase measures an impressive 12" in height and is 9.25" across the top. It is fully signed to the base and dates to 1930.
