A Blue Autumn tea for two or early morning set with the earliest and best banding combination for this pattern. It is the first Stamford set i have seen with this banding. This a very early set for this shape with the saucers and Tea plate actually having date codes for 1930 which is too early for this pattern and shape so it will have been made in the very early days of this pattern in 1931. A beautiful and very freely painted set with the pattern being painted around the sides and back of each piece, quite different to the norm. There has been a restoration to a hairline in one cup, the line continues slightly onto the base but has not been restored there as it would spoil the mark, aside from this there is no damage or restoration. The teapot measures 5" in overall height and each piece carries printed marks to the base.
