A fantastic first period early Crocus Lotus jug, one of only a few i have ever seen, plenty of Isis vases but maybe only 4 lotus jugs painted in this way. Huge bunchy Crocus/Croci in thick brushtrokes. This decoration was only used for a short period of 1929 into 1930 and then was replaced by the standard Crocus we see, This would have been too expensive and labour intensive to produce.
