Clarice Cliff EARLY ORIGINAL BIZARRE COFFEE CAN & SAUCER C.1928

Clarice Cliff EARLY ORIGINAL BIZARRE COFFEE CAN & SAUCER C.1928

SOLD

A really early coffee can and saucer that would have been one of the first things produced in Bizarre ware. The red handwritten backstamp was used for the first maybe 6 months of production in early 1928 before being replaced with the more common stamps we see. A really nice example that is a typical early bizarre design of overlapping triangular shapes. GUARANTEED to be free from damage or restoration the saucer measures 4" in diameter and the can is 2.2" tall. Both pieces carry identical newport pottery marks and are hand signed 'Bizarre'.
