Probably the best piece of Clarice to turn up in the 28 years i've been collecting and dealing in this pottery. A giant exhibition size 464 vase decorated in May Avenue, it really cannot get any better than this! The vase measures a huge 12.5" in height and is 10.5" across it's width. Decorated with a perfect and full version of the pattern it has to be the ultimate piece of Clarice and should belong in a Musuem. The colours are strong and vibrant and the pattern is applied to the shape wonderfully. The vase had to have been made for exhibition as very few giant vases exist, 4 giant yoyo's, one giant 366 and 2 of these although none have been decorated in this design. GUARANTEED to be free from damage or restoration and fully signed to the base. There is one small flake of paint missing on one red roof otherwise the vase is unblemished. The final image shows the vase next to a standard size coffee can to give an idea of scale.
