A unique to date ginger jar decorated in a rare design with a unique and experimental glaze technique. The glaze runs to the body are clearly in the design as they are outlined in the same brown colour as the tree. Therefore the white body areas are all part of the original design. This is similar to a Doulton Chang glaze from the same period. It would probably have not gone into full production as would have been so difficult and time consuming to produce. It measures 20cm in overall height and is 55cm around the body. It is GUARANTEED to be free from damage or restoration and is fully signed to the base.
