A spectacular and rare 9" meiping shaped vase in the highly sought after May avenue design, this 1933 design holds the world record for a piece of clarice cliff sold in auction when an 18" charger made £40,000 in a christies sale in london may 2003. This vase has not been seen on the market before as has been held in a private collection for a very long time and was not bought from auction originally. A full and perfect version of the pattern decorated around the entire body, perfect colours with no wear to enamels. There is some wear to the edge and underside of the footrim though but GUARANTEED no damage or restoration, a superb vase that is fully signed to the base.
I constantly need new stock and I usually pay far more than you would achieve at auction for top end pieces as I have an extensive client list to sell to.
