A huge and impressive pair of doulton lambeth faience vases by J H Mclennan, the vases depict mermaids under the water in a spiralling seascape. They measure 19" in height and are signed both to the base and the outside of the body. One vase has had a small chip invisibly restored to the top rim otherwise both are in excellent original condition. They will date to 1885.
