An extremely rare Claremont teapot silver overlaid for Shreve & Co of San Francisco. This overlay is a shreve and co design and although the teapot is only signed Moorcroft other parts of the original set will have had Shreve marks. Beautifully decorated in pale soft colours it has had a small horizontal line invisibly restored to the centre of the body and if i did not poit it out you wouldn't know! Height of teapot is 6.5". Will date to around 1906.
